An Intimate NYC Elopement at the Met Museum & Central Park

There’s something truly magical about photographing love stories that come full circle. I’ve known this sweet couple for three years now — I first met them when I photographed their son’s newborn session. Fast forward, and here we are celebrating one of the most meaningful milestones of their journey together: their elopement in New York City.

They decided to keep things beautifully simple with an intimate city elopement. We started in Central Park, surrounded by lush greenery and timeless scenery, before heading over to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for portraits. And let me just say — the Met Museum wedding photos left me absolutely speechless.

The museum’s grand architecture, detailed staircases, and endless galleries of artwork made the perfect backdrop for their love story. Every corner felt like stepping into a masterpiece, and capturing their joy within that space was nothing short of breathtaking. From soft moments in the park to the grandeur of the museum, their day reflected exactly who they are — effortless, timeless, and full of love.

As a NYC elopement photographer, these are the kinds of sessions that light me up. Elopements remind us that weddings don’t have to be big to be meaningful — they just need to be true to the couple.

If you’re planning a New York City elopement and dreaming of a day filled with art, history, and romance, the Met Museum is an unforgettable choice. Paired with a walk through Central Park, it’s the perfect blend of intimacy and beauty.
